SEO in the Netherlands, in English

Running a business in the Netherlands and dealing with all of it in English? SEO here is a small market with plenty of agencies asking for monthly budgets that would last you a whole year. Meanwhile the site you once invested in properly sits there unfound, while your customers are searching. Every day. That is why I approach SEO in the Netherlands differently, and why I work in Dutch and English alike.

Does this sound familiar?

  • Your website was built years ago and never really kept up since.
  • Competitors who demonstrably do weaker work sit above you in Google.
  • Ask ChatGPT or Copilot for a recommendation in your field and you do not come up.
  • Your site still shows old prices, dead links or colleagues who left.
  • No time to keep up with visibility alongside the actual work
  • Nobody in the team who does SEO as a profession

SEO in the Netherlands: what I do

Everything at the scale of a smaller business: fixed prices, one point of contact and no obligations afterwards. I work throughout the Netherlands, in Dutch and in English, and I handle Dutch search behaviour and English language searches side by side.

For sole traders: in one planning day I put your presence right, with preparation beforehand, choices made together, and after that you (or someone you know) can keep it up yourself.

For established businesses whose visibility has fallen behind: I build the visibility foundation, landing pages on the keywords your customers actually search for, plus all the background optimisation.

Already working with a marketing agency? That is fine, they often do good work on campaigns and social. I lay the technical and editorial foundation that makes their work perform better. Complementary, not competing.

Being found locally

“Plumber Amsterdam” pays off better than “plumber”. I take your Google Business Profile, reviews and local keywords into account, and make sure your address details and opening hours are correct everywhere. In a bilingual market that matters twice over: a Dutch and an English version of the same information must not contradict each other. Inconsistency costs trust, with AI as well.

Frequently asked questions

Is SEO not too expensive for a small business?

Ongoing contracts often are. That is why I work with a one off project and a foundation that lasts for years. You know exactly what it costs in advance.

Do you work in English?

Yes. Conversations, reports and copy can all be in English. I can also deliver your site in Dutch and English side by side, which is what I did with this website.

Does this work for sole traders too?

Yes, especially. For sole traders I offer the planning day: in one day a tidy, findable presence you can keep up yourself afterwards.

Do I have to stay with you afterwards?

No. The foundation is transferable: you, your web builder or your marketing agency can carry on with it. You can stop at any time; everything stays in place.
